The Evropouloi is a traditional village of Corfu.The village is in the central part of the island , located 5 km west of Corfu town.
In Koukouritsa village is located the holiday home of the first governor of Greece Ioannis Kapodistrias. It was built in the 17th century and has been converted into a museum ( Museum Kapodistrias ) . The exhibits include everyday objects, belonging to the family of the first governor of Greece Ioannis Kapodistrias. The museum Kapodistrias also houses the Center for Studies of Kapodistrias and his Era, and it was founded in 1981. Also in the settlement it is located the dependency of the Holy Monastery of Theotokos Platyteras whose establishment dates back to 1746-1747.
