The village Petritis or ancient Egripos is a seaside village with taverns, overlooking the continent and rich history.
It belonged to the Byzantine ruler of the region Petriti or Petretino who gave the village the family Palatianou (rather as dowry). From this family has maintained a Byzantine tower. From the Roman period has left the building plan of bricks a diameter of 5 meters and served on granary or cistern.
