The Marathiás is a settlement in southern Corfu with a population of approximately 330 residents. It belongs to the municipality Korission.
Located in the center of the narrowest point in the south of the island of Corfu has distance from sea to sea about 3,150 meters.
It is an old village, which was built on top of a hill covered with olive trees, but was essentially a complete disaster of a plague that wiped out virtually the population. The remaining inhabitants fled further down and in place of the old village are ruins of houses, the cemetery and the small church of Panagia Lampovitissas for the sake of each year is the last festival of Corfu in the small village square on 8 September.
