The village Kouramades is a village of Middle Corfu , about 10 km from the city, and is located between the villages Kastellani , Kalafationes and Sinarades . The permanent population is about 180 people.
The time of settlement is unknown , although there is evidence of continuous habitation of the area from antiquity.The first however recorded mention of the village dates back to the mid 13th century , when it was shown Kouramades decuries headquarters , an administrative division that had established by the Despotate of Epirus and adopted for some time and the next rulers of Corfu , the rulers of southern Italy .
