Upper Peritheia or otherwise Old Peritheia is a picturesque village in northern Corfu. The Upper Peritheia belongs to the municipality Thinalia and is built at an altitude of about 450 meters on the slopes of Mount Pantokrator. It is the oldest village of Corfu and the position dictated by the fear of pirates and raids and malaria that plagued the coasts.
